According to Jones, by 1316 the head of the Spradling family in Glamorgan, Wales, and Somerset, England, was EDWARD STRADLYNG, who was knighted in 1327 and married Ellen (Elena/Eleanor), daughter and heiress of Sir Gilbert Strongbow (brother to the earl of Pembroke), before 1317.
